Web App

Rostoc has an online version at web.rostoc.co. This web version gives you access to your roasting data from any browser — another computer, your phone, or a tablet — with nothing to download or install. Log in with the same Rostoc account you use in the desktop app; your data syncs through the cloud.

  • Batches — browse your roast history and open a Roast Batch to review its Curve, events, details, and linked Reference Curve.
  • Plans — browse and search Plans, review targets and linked Batches, and set a Reference Curve. Create or fully edit Plans in the desktop app.
  • Green Inventory — manage Coffee Lines, Lots, and warehouses.
  • Inventory Dashboard — check stock levels, usage trends, and risk indicators.
  • Settings — manage account preferences and warehouses, and review saved Machines. Add or configure Machines in the desktop app.
  • Scanned codes — open a label you scanned with a phone. See Labels and codes.

A label scanned from a phone lands here. If the desktop app is running on that computer it opens there instead; otherwise the browser opens the Batch or the Lot the label came from. You are asked to sign in if you are not already, and returned to the record afterwards.

Roasting is not available in the browser. Connecting or controlling a Machine and recording a roast in Roast Studio happen in the desktop app. When the desktop app is online, completed Roast Batches sync to the cloud and then appear in the web app.

The web app requires an internet connection. If you roast while the desktop app is offline, reconnect it and allow cloud sync to finish before looking for the Batch in the browser.

Your roast data is backed up to your Rostoc account automatically — you don’t have to export anything or run backups yourself. If your computer is replaced or the app is reinstalled, log in and your data is there. The same backup is what makes it available in the browser, on the plans that include web access.

Browser access is included in Foundation and Growth. The free Hobby plan does not include it. On a Hobby plan you can still log in, but the app shows “Browser access is locked on Hobby” and asks you to upgrade.

Plan limits follow your subscription, the same as in the desktop app. Inventory tools — Green Inventory and the Inventory Dashboard — require Growth.

  1. Open web.rostoc.co in your browser.
  2. Sign in with the same Rostoc account you use in the desktop app, using email and password or Google as applicable.
  3. Your Batches, Plans, and inventory are there — the same data you see in the desktop app.

Yes. The web app works in mobile browsers, and the layout adapts to small screens. A larger screen works best for tables and charts. Roasting still requires the desktop app — there is no mobile roasting.
