Which Roast Metrics Rostoc Shows

Summary

A batch record carries the roast curve, milestone events, phase timings for drying, Maillard and development, charge and drop temperatures, weights and notes. Rostoc also computes area under the curve — thermal load — for every roast and uses it when judging how consistent a roast is against others, but it is not displayed as a figure you can read off the batch page today.

Steps

  1. Open the batch from Batches, or from Home's recent roasts.
  2. Read the curve, events and phase breakdown on the batch page.
  3. For a comparison against a target, set a reference curve on the plan the roast was made from; the batch then shows the reference alongside it.
  4. If the customer specifically wants the AUC number, tell them plainly that Rostoc calculates it but does not show it yet, and record the request. Do not guess at a screen for it.
  5. To work with the underlying data themselves, export the batch: Actions → Export as CSV or Export as JSON.
