Reading Rate Of Rise
Summary
Settings → Roasting controls how Rate of Rise is written down: the interval it is stated over — per minute, or per 30, 15, 10 or 5 seconds — and the scale the line is drawn against, so a fast sample roaster stops running off the top of the chart. Neither setting changes how Rate of Rise is calculated, only how it is read. There is no customer-facing smoothing control.
Steps
- Open Settings → Roasting.
- Find the Rate of Rise section.
- Set the interval: per minute, or per 30, 15, 10 or 5 seconds.
- Set the scale so the curve sits inside the chart for the machine's normal range.
- Use Show Rate of Rise to turn the line on or off.
- These settings require a recent version. A customer on an older build will not see the Rate of Rise section, so confirm they have updated first.
