What Rostoc Is

Rostoc is coffee roasting software for commercial roasteries: a desktop application that connects to your roasting machine, logs roasts live, and keeps green coffee inventory, roast plans, and finished batches linked to each other.

It is not a spreadsheet with a chart on top, and it is not an enterprise production system. It sits between those -- for roasteries doing roughly five to eighty roasts a week.

Roast Plans, Profiles, And Batches

These three get conflated constantly, and the distinction is the thing that makes the record useful later.

A roast profile is the curve -- what the temperatures did over time. A roast plan is the intent: what you mean to roast, on which machine, with which setup, and it can be reused across roast days and across machines. A roast batch is what actually happened on one occasion, linked back to the plan it came from and the green lot it consumed.

Every new account gets 30 roasts at Growth entitlement with no time limit. Hobby is then free at 30 batches per month on one machine, Foundation is $19 per month, and Growth is $39 per month (checked 2026-08-25).
