Start With The Machine
A roast log is only worth keeping if it matches what the machine actually did. Rostoc starts at the connection: it reads bean and environmental temperature, rate of rise, and the control and status data a roaster exposes, then records the roast against the plan it belongs to.
The machine catalogue holds 263 models across 93 brands. 198 are supported today, 55 are experimental, 8 are unsupported, and 2 are planned (counted 2026-09-24). Support depends on the model and its connection type, so check your own machine before you commit to anything.

From Green Coffee To Saved Batch
Most roasteries do not lose information in any single tool. They lose it between tools: the stock count lives in a spreadsheet, the curve lives in the logger, and the batch record lives in someone's memory until the end of the week.
Rostoc keeps the chain intact. Green lots are received into a warehouse, a roast plan says what will be roasted and on which machine, the roast runs against that plan, and the finished batch deducts from the lot that fed it. Each step stays traceable back to the one before it.

After that, Hobby stays free at 30 batches per month on one machine, desktop only. Foundation is $19 per month or $190 per year and adds browser access, cloud backup, and data export.
